Most of us probably must have read and heard about Detox in relation to the outer body only; but have you ever thought - What is the Detox of Mind and Soul? We use to do complete cleaning of our house on big festivals - like Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas and doesn’t leave any corner; the same way we should also do detox of our mind and soul on regular basis?

Your mind and soul is prime and this is your first house; However you never think about its cleanliness even after knowing this truth. You have overloaded your mind and soul with lots of responsibilities and forgot most important responsibility towards yourself. While running to fulfill the need of modern lifestyle, your Soul and brain started getting very disturbed and distraught; and the best solution to all these problems - "Detox of your mind and soul".



If we put it simply, Cleanliness or Detox of the mind sounds very easy – “Stop the flow of toxic things in your Brain and get rid of the Poisonous stuffs”. But as easy it sounds, it’s practically that hard.

So what you should do to fulfill this invaluable responsibility towards yourselves, and get rid of the waste toxic material out of your mind and soul? Here are some ways by which you can do this important work with some ease -

1) Take out toxic people from your life -

Do you know people who tries to humiliate you every time, makes you feel inferior, creates unnecessary tension in our life & keep criticizes you every day? If Yes then all these symptoms are of a toxic person. It can be anyone like your family member, your friends, your colleague etc…. Do not give any place to such people in your life and separate yourself from them as soon as possible.

2) Leave your past behind -

Every person has some bad past and people stuck with it even after knowing that it is affecting their soul badly. The past is rooted in your mind in such a way that you only and only think about it; and it becomes the core reason of all your sorrows. The past is like the garbage that you keep collecting without any reason and store it for long; sometime till end of your life.

You must remind yourselves that it is only your past but it is affecting your beautiful unseen future; Get rid of it and open the way for the fearless future.

3) Get Connect with your emotions

We humans are social animals and like to understand & meet people; However we never understand our own feelings & emotions, even sometime we all suppress our own feelings.

Being emotional is not wrong but stopping it to come out is wrong. Your frustration will not come out if you will keep suppressing your feelings & emotions; please understand your own feelings and connect with your emotions also do express it.

4) Associate with books

Books are men’s best friend; books have the treasure which can solve every problem of yours. It inspires you in your hard time and brings hope in your life; they can show the difference between good and bad. It can become your best mate and doesn’t let you feel lonely; also it helps you in keeping your mood swing under control.



5) Spend some time in silence

The best way to connect with you is to stay calm for some time. Your brain is a device - as machine needs to be refreshed and restarted on time to time basis; same way your mind and soul also needs few minutes of silence and peace. Silence acts like a lifesaving herb for your body, mind & brain; you will start becoming aware about yourself.



6) Bring out time for your hobby and Learn new art –

Are you bored with the normal routine? Is your mind tired of doing the same stuff every day? The best solution is - " Bring out time for your hobby and Learn new art". Its equivalent to invest directly in your happiness.

There is no age to learn new art, learning new things will be able to elevate the artist inside you and connect with yourself.

By re-starting your hobby and learning new art, you can check your capabilities again and can infuse new energy inside. So challenge yourself and realize a wonderful bliss.

7) Keep distance from social media

We all spend more time on social media today like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc…..; A study has shown that - on an average, an Indian user spends approx. 2.5 - 3 hours on social media in a day.

Social media has a lot of benefits, but is it okay to overdo the same? Is it necessary to be updated with every second of NEWS or react on each Post / Messages?

By spending more time on social media you will start comparing your lives with others; which makes you feel that you are less capable, you have achieved very less in your life, you have made fewer foreign trips and you are less fortunate than others. It will distract you from your originality.

Limit the usage of social media and do not let it dominate your mind and sense; Only by this you will feel the Calmness in your mind and you will be more focused and less distracted.

If you can take these steps for yourself, then you will feel more happy and satisfied; However these efforts are little difficult but not impossible. Detoxing your Mind & Soul and enable yourself to appreciate the precious life you have.
